Coats, Kansas – Mildred Lucille Eubank, 95, passed away Saturday, May 11, 2019 at Pratt Health and Rehabilitation. She was born March 4, 1924 in Penalosa to Melvin Charles and Cora Gertrude (Luce) Cozens. On April 25, 1943, she married William “Shorty” Eubank in Coats.

He preceded her in death on August 6, 2007. Mildred was a member of Coats Baptist Church and attended Grace United Methodist Church in Coats. After high school Mildred went to work at the Coats State Bank as a teller and later assistant cashier.

She retired from there after working almost 41 years. She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star for 75 years, Bon Ami Club, Coats United Methodist Women, Pratt Community Concert Board, Skyline School Foundation, Coats City Council, Coats Cemetery Board, and avid in Pratt County 4-H. She enjoyed reading, bowling, crossword and word search puzzles and playing pitch.

She is survived by her daughter, Suzanne Eubank of Colorado Springs, Colorado; son, Jim (Robin) Eubank of Kayenta, Arizona; daughter in-law, Carol Eubank of Coats; sister, Martha Norris of Pratt; grandchildren, Christopher (Terra) Eubank of Coats, Dustin (Sara) Eubank of Coats, Ryan (Sarah) Eubank of Pratt, Elspeth (Sam) Acosta of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Josiah Eubank of San Antonio, Texas, Wendy (Randy) Chavez of Dallas, Texas and April (Tim) Kretchman of Meyersdale, Pennsylvania; great grandchildren, Gaby Lynn Eubank, Kami Janae Eubank, Alexis Margaret Eubank, Aurora Mildred Eubank, Emmett Charles Eubank, a Eubank on the way, Levi John Acosta, William Beau Acosta, Noah James Ansell, Chantelle Marie (Josh) Ankeny, Emily Patrice Sayler, Elizabeth Krenn Sayler, Connor and Carter; great great grandson, Griffin; and special friend/caretaker, Teresea Flory. Mildred is preceded in death by her parents; husband, “Shorty”; son, Charles Eubank; and sister Normagene Cook. Visitation will be Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. with family receiving friends 5-7 at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Road, Pratt.

Funeral service will be at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, May 16, 2019 at Grace United Methodist Church, Coats. Burial will follow at Coats Cemetery, Coats. Memorials may be made to Pratt County 4-H Foundation or Skyline School Foundation in care of the Larrison Mortuary.
