Misty Lea Diggs, age 40, of Hot Springs, passed away on Wednesday, December 5, 2018. She was born January 25, 1978 in Fayetteville, North Carolina, the daughter of Mary Curtis Webb and Rory Brown. On November 20, 2017, she married Justin Diggs.

Misty lived her life out loud. She was unapologetically her own person and adored for her charismatic personality. She loved shopping, cooking, and rooting for LSU and the Saints.

She was an active 4-H member in Montgomery county and a graduate of Southern Arkansas University. Misty was also a passionate supporter and advocate of law enforcement, making it her life’s work with the Montgomery and Garland County Sheriff’s offices. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police.

She will be deeply missed by anyone fortunate enough to know, love, and be loved by her. She was preceded in death by three grandfathers, Lloyd Curtis, Donald Post, and Charles A. Brown Jr.; two grandmothers, Leona Brown and Patricia Post; great-grandmother, Donna Traphagen, and her uncle Mike Post. She is survived by her husband, Justin Diggs; her mother and father-in-law, Mary Webb and husband Jim; father Rory Brown; stepson, William Diggs; siblings, Christy Rieves (Zach), Patti Brown, Rory Brown Jr., Danielle Wilson (Delton), and DeLainey Brown; nieces and nephews, Jacy, Jaxon, and Easton Rieves and Layla Jacob; special friends, Gefer Sims and Andrea Lowery; as well as many extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.

Her celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Hot Springs. Honorary Pallbearers will be the compassionate staff of the CHI St. Vincent Emergency Room, as well as Misty’s law enforcement family at the Garland County Sheriff’s Office. Guest registry at www.
