Mrs. Moline Jeropha Griffith, 96, of Thorntown, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2019, at Westley Manor in Frankfort, Indiana. She was born May 30, 1922, in Red Boiling Springs, Tennessee, one of twelve children to the late Paul and Beul C. (Reeves) Carlisle. She was a 1940 graduate of Hermit Springs High School in Tennessee.

On September 9, 1942, she was married to Oren Odell Griffith, Sr. in Warren County, Kentucky. He preceded her in death in 1982. In 1952, she and Oren moved to Thorntown, Indiana.

She worked as a seamstress at Thorntown Textile for many years. Moline loved her family dearly. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and taking long walk outdoors.

Survivors: Two Sons: Oren O. (Joan) Griffith, Jr. of Dandridge, Tennessee Ronnie J. (Sharon) Griffith of Frankfort Daughter-in-law: Jeanie Griffith of Thorntown Eight Grandchildren One Step Grandchild Fifteen Great Grandchildren Three Step Great Grandchildren One Great-Great Granddaughter Two Sisters: Charla (C.D.) Reecer of Celina, Tennessee Catherine Tuck of Red Boiling Springs, Tennessee Many Nieces and Nephews In addition to her parents and husband, Moline was preceded in death by a son, Eldred Lane Griffith; three grandsons; one great grandson; three brothers, Harold Carlisle, Alvin Carlisle, and Wayne Carlisle; and six sisters, Maurell Meador, Joyce Morgan, Linda Carlisle, Mildred Grissom, Robbie Sue Cook, and Juanita Cherry. Funeral Services are planned for 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 4, 2019, at Myers & Hunt Mortuary, 116 West Plum Street in Thorntown, Indiana. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home in Thorntown.

Interment will follow at Maple Lawn Cemetery in Thorntown. Memorials may be directed to Lebanon Church of Christ, 1204 Indianapolis Avenue, Lebanon, Indiana 46052. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Moline J Griffith please visit our Sympathy Store.
