Molly Davis Smith, 87 of Laurinburg, passed away, Friday, May 18, 2018 at Morrison Manor. The funeral service will be at 11:00 am Monday, May 21, 2018 at Midway Presbyterian Church in Maxton, officiated by Rev. Mike McGehee and Rev.

Dr. Luther “Drag” Kimrey. Burial will follow in Midway Church Cemetery in Maxton. A visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Sunday, May 20, 2018 at McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium.

Born March 27, 1931 in Robeson County, she was a daughter of the late Charlie Walker and Ella Gentry Davis. She was a member of Midway Presbyterian Church, a homemaker, and also worked part-time at McNair Department Store and Stone Insurance Agency. She is survived by three daughters, Wanda Pearson, and husband Jerry, Sally McCormick and husband Cliff, and Patsy Guffey and husband Rick all of Laurinburg; a brother, Bob Davis of Laurinburg; a sister, Ann Hasty of Laurinburg; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Henry Willis Smith; four brothers, Harry Davis, John Davis, Clyde Davis and Calvin Davis; a sister, Dorothy Underwood; and a grandchild, Amanda Marie Guffey. Memorials may be made to Midway Presbyterian Church Cemetery Fund, 9115 NC Hwy 130, Maxton, NC 28364 or Scotland County Hospice, PO Box 1033, Laurinburg, NC 28353. McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium is serving the Smith family.
