Monica Fontaine’s Obituary Monica L. Fontaine Franklin, 53, of Salisbury, departed this life on Tuesday, March 19, 2019, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. Born in Salisbury, she was the daughter of the late John L. Fontaine, Sr. and Diane Burrell Fontaine. Mrs. Franklin was a member of Wesley Temple United Methodist Church.

She was a child care provider and worked at the Center for Clean Start at the Holly Center. She will be lovingly remembered by: her husband, Lester T. Franklin, Sr.; three children, Tyesha D. Franklin, Tori D. Franklin, and Lester T. Franklin, Jr.; two sisters, Janet Fontaine Turner (Leroy, Jr.) and Tracy Fontaine N’gala (Prosper); two brothers, John L. Fontaine, Jr. and Victor D. Fontaine, Sr. (Lisa); three grandchildren, Ta’Niyah Franklin, Jameer Gaillard, and Eli Dorman; two aunts; an uncle; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, in-laws, friends, and students. Mrs. Franklin will lie in repose on Sunday, March 24, 2019, from 1 to 2 PM at First Baptist Church, 528 Booth Street and Delaware Avenue, Salisbury.

The funeral service will begin at 2 PM. Rev. Dr. Bernadette Beckett will officiate.

Rev. Dr. Lewis N. Watson is the host pastor. Interment will follow at Green Acres Memorial Park, Inc., West Road, Salisbury.
