MONTY ANDREW SNYDER, JR Monty (PapPap) Snyder, 94 of Baden/Pittsburgh, PA, passed away Thursday, April 12, 2018, at Passavant Hospital. Beloved husband of Estelle “Gammy” (Fahrney) Snyder for 72 years. Loving father of Sheryle (Thomas) Sprung and the late Darlene Malagise.

Loving grandfather of Drue (Germaine) Malagise, Christopher Malagise, Damon Malagise, Monica Sprung, Christian Sprung, Matthew Sprung, and the late Thomas Sprung, Jr.; Great-grandfather of Daria and Demi Malagise and loving uncle to special niece Patricia (Fitzgerald) Weixel. Monty is a WWII Veteran, serving 6 years with distinction as a Marine. The discipline and patriotism he learned in the Marines never left him, as friends and family would attest.

Monty retired as a freight conductor with Pennsylvania Railroad (now Norfolk Southern) and selflessly, volunteered for Gateway Rehab for over 30 years. But most important definition of his life is that he showed us the meaning of unconditional love. Burial Service at The National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, 1158 Morgan Road, Bridgeville, PA; service scheduled on Wednesday, April 18 promptly at 10:30am.
