Funeral Services for Mr. Kennard Robertson will be held at 1 PM Saturday January 19. 2019 at A. A. Dicks Funeral Home Chapel. Public viewing will take place on Friday January 18.

2019 from Noon until 5pm at the funeral home. Mr. Kennard Robertson was born August 11, 1960 in Columbia, South Carolina. He was the son of Mrs. Sarah Mae Moody Robertson and the late Mr. Joseph Robertson, Sr. Kennard passed away at his home after a brave fight and lengthy illness, on Sunday, January 13, 2019.

Kennard attended Richland County public schools. He enjoyed careers as a Chef and Truck Driver where he earned the moniker “Black Redneck”. His infectious laughter and tenacious personality made him a people person.

Kennard was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He was a jack of all trades, and fancied himself as an expert of all. He leaves behind a myriad of memories for everyone whose life he touched.

He was preceded in death by his unborn daughter, Sophie Grace Robertson, his farther, Joseph Roberson, Sr. and his sister, Patricia Robertson. Kennard leaves to cherish precious memories: his wife, Melanie Janine Dyer Robertson and a son Kennard Robertson, Jr., both of Columbia, SC; a loving daughter, Jill Robertson and stepson Frank Dyer, his mother, Sarah Mae Moody Robertson, of Columbia, SC; a brother, Joseph (Patricia) Robertson, Jr., of Hampton, GA; two sisters Janet (Eric) Bouttry, of Valdosta, GA and Mishonda (Luther) Tookes, Atlanta, GA; his mother-in-law, Lois N. Dyer, his sister-in-law, Lois B. Dyer; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
