Obituary for Mrs Carol Dena Gazzetta Carol Dena Gazzetta (Duffy)born December 12 1946 in the Bronx to Francis Duffy and Vincenza Santangelo. Carol is survived by The love of her life William Gazzetta, in August they would have celebrated 25 years together. Carol is also survived by her five children who were her world, Dena DeLucia-Pryzgoda (Dave); Donna Kosack (Jay); Gina Dapp (Eric); Elizabeth Landon (Jimmy); and Anthony DeLucia.
Carol is also survived by her loving grandchildren Taylor Galetic, Kayla, Jake and Jacqueline Kosack, Ricky, Christopher and Gabrielle Dapp, Alexandria, Amanda and DJ Pryzgoda, Saydi and McKenzie Landon, as well as two great grandchildren, EJ and Marco Kardian. Carol is also survived by sister Marilyn Cuomo and her sister and brother in law Carrie and Bobby Gazzetta. She is pre-deceased by her parents and brother Richard Duffy.
Carol leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Family was Carol’s world, she spent all her weekends surround by husband, children, grandchildren, cousins. Nothing would stop her from living life to the fullest, not even cancer.
Carol was creative and artistic, she could look at anything and create something new from it. Her cards, jewelry, and paintings have been enjoyed by hundreds of people, she loved showering people with her art. Once you knew Carol you loved her, she left a lasting impression on you.
This is evident in the friendships that she has had. She has dozens of friends that have been a part of her life from birth through high school. Her co-workers from Kaiser Permanente and Eileen Fisher have remained her closest friends even after retirement and have supported her in many ways during her courageous fight.
Carol had a love and zest for life that was amazing, she fought the biggest and hardest battle of her life with such grace and compassion and was truly the strongest person you would ever meet.
