Doris J. Middleton went home to be with her Lord on March 15, 2019, in Apple Valley, California. She was born on December 13, 1937 in Pierceton, Indiana. Doris married James Hollis Middleton, a handsome young Air Force serviceman from Loxley, Alabama, on November 3, 1951 and they had 3 children together: Brenda, Ronald and Steven.

Doris was a homemaker, full time Mother and devoted Christian, who attended several churches in the High Desert area before she became ill and could no longer drive. She was well known for her gifts of singing and leading worship services in church. She dearly loved singing for the Lord.

Doris also enjoyed country gospel music, reading, flower arranging, birds, antiquing and she had an amazing green thumb for growing flowers and plants. Hollis preceded Doris in death in 2003. Doris is survived by her sister, June Stoever of Llano, Texas, her 3 children, 4 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 7 nieces and 2 nephews.

Services will be held on April 3, 2019 at 11:00 a.m., at Kern Hesperia Mortuary, 16120 Main Street, Hesperia, CA, with a private graveside service at Riverside National Cemetery following. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Ms Doris J Middleton please visit our Sympathy Store.
