Msgr. John A. Ryan, 93, of Redlands, CA passed away at his home on Tuesday, January 22, 2019. Msgr.

is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was ordained in Ireland on June 4, 1950. He served as a Parish Priest for 10 years in Glasgow, Scotland and then came to California settling in Oroville for 1 year.

Msgr. then moved to San Diego where he served for 17 years. He later came to San Bernardino where he served at St. Bernardines, Our Lady of Assumption and was the first Catholic Chaplain at Loma Linda University Medical Center and at Cal State University, San Bernardino, later at Idyllwild, 29 Palms, Perris, Victorville, Crestline, St. Adelaide, Highland, CA and in his retirement years at St. John Bosco.

One of his greatest loves was administering to the sick and the elderly. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at Bobbitt Memorial Chapel, San Bernardino from 5 to 7 p.m. followed with a Rosary at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at St. Adelaide Catholic Church in Highland, CA. Interment will be at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Cemetery, Colton, CA.
