Murlene G. “Jenny” York, 84, of Omaha, passed away at 5:45 p.m., Wednesday, December 26, 2018, at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville. She was born in Ridgway, IL on July 22, 1934, the daughter of Jesse and L. Aretta (Peas) Sauls. Jenny married Rev.

Harry S. York in April 1950 and he preceded her in death on May 31, 1984. She worked as a CNA at various nursing homes, most recently at Enfield Rehab. Jenny was a member of Norris City General Baptist Church and was an avid quilter.

Jenny is survived by three sons, Danny (Liz) York, of Omaha, Carl (Pam) York, of Crown Point, IN and J.W. (Sandy) York, of LaPorte, IN; daughter, Patti (Bobby) Chittenden, of Omaha; daughter-in-law, Brenda York, of Omaha; four brothers, Dean Sauls and Truman Sauls of Eldorado, Ricky Lee Sauls of Norris City and Mike Sauls of Ridgway; sister, Gail Henderson of Omaha; 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, Randy York, two brothers, Jesse “Bud” Sauls and Robert Wayne Sauls and three sisters, Deanna Hunt, Ramona Sauls and Aileen Crayne. Funeral services for Murlene G. “Jenny” York, 84, of Omaha will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City.

Burial will be in Union Ridge Cemetery, Norris City. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, December 28, 2018 at Campbell Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made in Jenny’s memory to the donor’s favorite charity and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City who is in charge of arrangements.
