Obituary of Murray Fuller Murray Thomas Fuller, age 88, of Bellingham, passed away on June 13, 2018. He was born on December 21, 1929 in Sprott, Alabama to Elmer and Annie Mae (Poe) Fuller. Murray was a Korean War Veteran who was in the United States Air Force.

He was the first G.I. to set foot on the Blaine Air Force Base. Murray owned and operated a gillnet boat in Alaska before starting Hortons Towing which he owned for 20 years. He then went on to be an independent log hauler.

He retired from Yorkston Oil as a fuel hauler in 1996. He was a member of the Elks Club, Eagles Club and the American Legion. Murray was an active supporter of the Ferndale High School Band.

He was an avid fan of early Bellingham Blazer hockey. Murray enjoyed watching football and baseball on television in his later years. He was a licensed Aviator and owned a Dragster.

He enjoyed working in his vegetable garden, RVing with his poodles, moose hunting in Canada and wintering in Yuma, Arizona with his companion Elaine. He was great at BBQing and cooked salmon at the Deming Log Show for many years. He is preceded in death by his wife Lee in 1986 and his companion Elaine Pekema in 2017.

Murray is survived by his sons Tom and Chuck Fuller; daughters Virginia Starry, Charmaine Massong and Suzanne Lindquist; sisters Eady McCormick and Peggy Windham; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. A visitation will take place on Wednesday, June 20th at 12:00pm followed by a funeral service at 1:00pm at Moles Farewell Tributes Greenacres (5700 NW Dr. Ferndale, WA 98248). A graveside committal will follow at Greenacres.
