Myrna’s Obituary Myrna Ellen (Fish) Briese passed away in Great Falls, Montana, on January 29, 2019 due to natural causes. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 1, 2019 at Riverside Cemetery. Memorial donations in Myrna’s name may be made to Helena Shodair Foundation, Foundation Office, P.O. Box 5539, Helena, MT 59604.

Myrna was born on February 25, 1936 in Great Falls, Montana to Cecil and Freda Fish. She attended Fort Benton High School until 1952 when she married her high school sweetheart Marvin Briese in Great Falls. They lived in Colorado Springs and Fort Hood for two years when Marvin was in the army and then moved back to Loma where they farmed and raised their family.

They moved off the farm in 1995 and spent time in their homes at Dearborn and Great Falls. Myrna enjoyed sewing, painting, knitting, camping, snowmobiling, boating, water skiing, snowbirding, roller skating at the Loma Hall, and socializing with family and friends. Myrna was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Milt and Guy Fish.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Marvin of Great Falls; her sister Monica McGuire of Helena; brother Frank Flatt of Helena; son Ron Briese of Loma; daughters Mandy (Fred) Horton of Great Falls and Marlo (Monte) Zeller of Grants Pass, Oregon; 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Her family remembers her as incredibly ambitious and always ready to lend a hand. She gave terrific advice and was a great best friend.

She was a woman of all trades as she drove combine and truck and cooked and baked.
