A celebration of life service will be Wednesday, 10:00 A.M., May 29, 2019 at Broadway Baptist Church in Sand Springs with Reverend Earl Wayne Holcomb officiating. Nadine will be laid to rest at Woodland Memorial Park Cemetery in Sand Springs.
Visitation with the family will be on Tuesday, May 25, 2019 from 6:00 to 7:00 PM. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service of Sand Springs. Nadine was born September 20, 1921 to Pearl and John Stewart.
She married her high school sweetheart Charles Henry (Bill) Davis in 1939 in Sand Springs where they raised their family. She raised her 6 children in a small home with the organizational and budgeting skills of a CEO. While raising her family, she worked full time at Commander Mills, raised money for worthy causes and always found time to play with her children.
She loved life and lived it joyfully. She had many interests including, music and old movies. She was a talented seamstress and loved to sew and quilt for her children and grandchildren.
Nadine dressed many dolls for the Salvation Army. She loved games of all kinds and was always ready to play games with friends and family. She spent many hours hiking, roller skating, and bike riding with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Nadine attended Broadway Baptist Church and enjoyed her many friends there. She regularly visited friends that were in the nursing home. She was a kind, gentle and generous soul.
Her needs were simple, just to spend time with family and friends. She loved to travel and went on many trips with family and friends. Nadine was always busy with her many interests, but she was never too busy to lend a helping hand to family and friends.
She was happiest when she was giving to others. Nadine was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Bill Davis, her son Charles Henry (Chuck) Davis III, her daughter Beverly Davis Frazier and son-in-law Leon Frazier, her mother and stepfather Pearl and Charles Haines, and her father John Stewart. Left behind to remember Nadine are her daughters and sons-in-laws, Barbara & John Williams of Edmond, Betty & Earl Wayne Holcomb of Sand Springs, Linda & Ron Archer of Broken Arrow and Carolyn McCarty of Tulsa, and her sister Estelle Essley of Sand Springs.
She will also be affectionately remembered by her 18 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, 12 great-great grandchild and a host of other family and friends. She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.
