OBITUARY Nancy Barlow Meulendyke August 19, 1931 – November 25, 2018 Nancy Ann (Barlow) Meulendyke died November 25, 2018 at her home. She was born on August 19, 1931 in Jackson, Michigan. Nancy graduated from the University of Michigan in history, and went on to get her Masters in humanities at Michigan State University.

Nancy was a teacher, homemaker, and worked for the Catholic Diocese of Lansing until she retired in 1993. Nancy is survived by her six children, Johanna (Greg Stoner) Eagan, MN, Jane Mary (Richard Baken) DePere, WI, Martin (Jane Walkendorf) Kansas City, MO, Thomas (Julie Viergiver) Lexington, KY, Ann Marie (Scott Goeman) Charlotte, MI, and Genevieve (David Siebert) Grand Rapids, MI: twenty grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Nancy is also survived by her sister Jane Nelson of Sarasota, FL and her brother John Barlow of Lexington, SC.

She was preceded in death by James Meulendyke, her husband of 57 years who died in 2010, and her parents Martin and Genevieve (Shea) Barlow. The Mass of Christian burial will take place Friday, November 30, 2018 at 11:00am at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 955 Alton Rd, East Lansing, with a visitation 1 hour prior to the service. The committal will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Lansing, MI.
