Obituary for Nancy Barrett WARREN – Nancy C. Barrett, 89, died peacefully at her home, holding the hand of her beloved husband of 71 years, and surrounded by her loving family, Sunday, November 4, 2018. Born in Friendship, July 22, 1929, she was the daughter of Robert and Lura Morse Libby. Educated locally, she was a 1946 graduate of Thomaston High School.
Following high school, Nancy married Edward Barrett on October 4, 1947 at the Federated Church in Thomaston. Together they resided at the Cutting Farm before moving in 1958 to the home they had built together in Warren. Raising their family there, Nancy lived in this home until her passing.
Nancy and Ed loved camping, owning many campers over the years. They enjoyed a yearly trip to Fryeburg Fair for over 40 years. Nancy was a wonderful cook and homemaker.
Her daughter remembers there was always something good to eat at Nan’s house. She kept beautiful gardens each summer, and enjoyed taking a ride to the ocean to smell the salt air. Her family was her number one priority and she loved nothing more than spending time with them.
She will be sadly missed by all who loved her. Nancy is survived by her loving husband Edward Barrett of Warren; her son Robert Barrett and his wife Vicki; her daughter Susan Bennett and her husband Barry; her sister Kathlene Anderson and her husband Ronald all of Warren; four grandchildren, Glenn Nelson and his wife Kelly of Ashland, NH, Jason K.
