Born in Rockland, May 25, 1964, Shane was the son of Arthur and Jill Baughman Steeves. Shane grew up in Clinton, where he excelled in baseball, basketball, and football in school.

Shane has always loved the outdoors and spent much of his time while growing up in the woods, hunting and fishing with his family and lifelong friends, Corey Witham and Kip Sylvester. In 1985, Shane’s cousin, Sarah, introduced him to the love of his life, Lisa Catell (Lincoln). Later that same year, Lisa and Shane married and in 1987, they had their first son, Nathan.

In 1992, Shane and Lisa moved into their home in Nobleboro, where they had their second son, Zach, that same year. In 2000, they had their third son, Noah. Shane always enjoyed working with his hands doing carpentry and roofing work.

In recent years, Shane worked for Midcoast Wildlife Specialists alongside lifetime friend and business owner, Stan ‘Butch’ Davis. Shane loved hunting and fishing with his sons and spending time with his many friends and family. Shane loved being a father and grandfather more than anything and spent as much time as he could with his beloved wife, sons, daughters and granddaughter, of course, all with a Big Apple coffee in hand.

Shane was kind-hearted, loved by many who thought of him as family, and will be greatly missed. Predeceased by his father, mother, and many loving aunts and uncles, Shane is survived by his wife, Lisa; three sons, Nathan, Zachary, and Noah; two inherited daughters, Rachel and Lindsey; his brother Shawn and his wife Kelli; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, cats, dogs, and the light of his life, his granddaughter, Maya Marie Steeves.
