Obituary for Nancy J. Walsh Seabrook – Nancy Jane Walsh, 65, of Seabrook, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, October 1, 2018. Nancy was born in Bradley Beach, NJ, a daughter of the late Edward and Alice (Fell) McGuigan and husband of Douglas Walsh of Seabrook. Nancy was raised in Bradley Beach, NJ and graduated from Neptune High School in 1971.

She met the love of her life, Douglas J. Walsh in Memphis, TN and they married in 1991. Nancy and Doug had lived in St. Joseph, MO, Amarillo, TX and Tampa, FL before moving to “Nancy’s Nest,” their home in Seabrook, in 2015. Nancy earned her Bachelor’s Degree while in Texas and while in Tampa, worked her way up through the United States Postal Service from letter carrier to Postmaster of the Suncoast District in Ozona, FL.

She was an associate member with Doug with the Elks Lodge 708 of Tampa and retired from the postal service in 2006. She enjoyed genealogy and playing board games, loved her cats and liked to go fishing with Doug whenever she got a chance. Nancy and Doug loved to travel and had sailed on over 25 cruise ships, visiting nearly half of the world.

In addition to her beloved husband Doug, she leaves her brother, Kevin McGuigan and his wife Carol of Homosassa, FL, her sisters, Debbie McGuigan of Easton, MD, Linda Salisbury of Neptune City, NJ, Mary Ellen Moreau and her husband, Dennis of Neptune, NJ, Laura Davis of Neptune, NJ and Janice McMichael and her husband, William of Aiken, SC. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Steve Walsh and many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews and dear friends. Nancy was predeceased by her parents and her sister, Karin Davis.

Family and friends may visit from 9 to 11 AM on Thursday, October 4, 2018 in the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home-Crematory, 811 Lafayette Rd. , Hampton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:30 AM at St. Elizabeth’s Church, 1 Lowell St., Seabrook Beach, NH.

Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Seabrook. If desired, donations may be made to your local S.P.C.A. chapter.
