Obituary for Ruth E. Pelton Hampton Falls – Ruth E. Pelton, 93, of Hampton Falls, died Sunday, October 14, 2018 at the Hyder Family Hospice House in Dover. She was born in Newbury, MA September 25, 1925 a daughter of the late Harold F. and Dorothy L. (Weir) Lord. Mrs. Pelton attended Hampton Academy and the North Shore Babies Hospital LPN School in 1946.

She had resided in Hampton Falls since 1948 where she was active in the First Baptist Church, was a 4-H leader for 15 years, belonged to R.S.V.P. and was a member of the Hampton Falls Grange 171 since 1950. She was also an avid swimmer, bowler, seamstress and painter.

She was the wife of the late Kenneth S. Pelton who predeceased her in 2012. Family members include five daughters, Maureen Medley and her husband Donald of Sierra Vista, AZ, Susan Poulin and her husband Armand of N. Bridgton, ME, Sharyn Roemisch and her husband Thomas of Springfield, MO, Karen Nelson and her husband Jon of Plymouth, MA, Christine Padhaisky and her husband Guy of North Port, FL, her brother, Donald Lord of Exeter, her sister, Dorothy Wheeler of West Charleston, VT, 10 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four siblings, Robert, Norman and Harold Lord and Esther Janvrin.

Visiting hours will be from 5-7 P.M. Friday, October 19, 2018 at the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home-Crematory, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton. Services will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday, October 20, 2018 at the Hampton Falls Baptist Church. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.

Burial will be in the First Baptist Cemetery, Hampton Falls. The family requests that flowers please be omitted.
