Obituary for Mrs. Nancy McDowell Nancy Lou McDowell, 66, of Denton, died Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at her home. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 1, 2018, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, Asheboro, with Rev. James Cooper, Rev.

Robert Hedrick, and Rev. Robert Echerd officiating. Burial will follow at Canaan United Methodist Church Cemetery, Denton.

A native of Davidson Co., NC, Mrs. McDowell was born December 24, 1951, the daughter of the late Junior and Mary Lou Kinley McDowell. She loved her flowers and working in the yard, was a loving mother and grandmother, and a sweet sister. In addition to her parent, Mrs. McDowell was preceded in death by her brother, Roger Dale McDowell, and grandson, Tommy McDowell.

Survivors include her son, Dallas McDowell and wife, Brenda, of Denton; sisters, Lillie Campbell and husband, Robert, of Ether, Mae Echerd and husband, Robert, of Denton, Ann Ingle and husband, Andy, of Winston-Salem, Jeanette Hendrick and husband, Ronald, of Silver Valley; brothers, David McDowell and wife, Brenda, of Thomasville, Jesse Lee McDowell and wife, Barbara, of Lexington, Darrell McDowell, of Denton; grandchild, Kristen McDowell; great-grandchildren, Danica Gause, and Lyam Gause. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, May 31, 2018, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home. Today’s Events Visitation 2018 MAY 31.
