Obituary for Ms. Carol Ball Carol Ann Ball, 80, of Trinity, NC died June 7, 2018 at the Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro. No funeral services are planned at this time. The family will have a private Celebration of Life as they spread her cremains in some of her favorite places.

Born on Dec. 5, 1937 in Gardner, Massachusetts, Ms. Ball was the daughter of the late Stanley and Mary Petrowski. She attended school in Gardner, Massachusetts as well as in Manhattan, NY.

She had a love for words and spelling. No one needed spellcheck with her around! She excelled at math and enjoyed writing poems and stories.

She took great pride at working in the yard and was an excellent provider to her 3 children. She taught her children honesty, values and a strong work ethic. Her love for animals is beyond words.

Carol retired several years ago but helped her sister with odd jobs up until her 80th birthday. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Petrowski. Survivors include her daughter, Debbie Price of Greer, SC; sons Richard Ball and wife, Jenni of Trinity; David Ball and husband, Jose Miranda of Boston, MA; sister, Nancy Petracco and husband, Peter of Weeki Wachi, FL; grandchildren John Heerschap Jr. and wife, Jessie of Asheboro; Nickie and husband, Micah of SC; Matthew Heerschap and wife, Hannah of Central, SC; Noelle Binney and husband, Nicholas; Jessica Ball of Hubert, NC.

Great-grandchildren are Kamryn, Maddox and Joelle. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of Randolph County, PO Box 9, Asheboro, NC 27204 and the ASPCA, Attn: Gift Processing Center, PO Box 96929, Washington, DC 20077-7127 (secure. aspca.org).
