Obituary of Nancy Wickens Sherrill- Nancy L. Wickens, of Pexton Street passed away peacefully early Friday morning October 19, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 20, 1939 in Oneida, New York a daughter of the late Archie and Dorothy (Gau) Moot and was valedictorian of her Stockbridge Valley School graduating class. On February 15, 1958 Nancy and Richard O. “Dick” Wickens were united in marriage in the Oneida’s First Presbyterian Church and have shared that loving union of over sixty years together.

Prior to her retirement, Nancy was employed at Oneida Limited Silversmiths as the Administrative Assistant of Compensation and Benefits where she had the opportunity to meet and help many of her co-workers with their benefits and retirements. She was a former Girl Scout leader, sang in the Methodist church choir and was a member of the Sherrill-Kenwood Volunteer Fire Department ladies auxiliary. She was a loving devoted wife, mom, grandma and great-grandma.

She was a compassionate woman with strong ties to faith and family. Surviving are her husband (Richard) “Dick” Wickens Sr., three children, Richard Jr. “Rick”(Cindy) Wickens, Pam Wickens, Marsha (Wickens) Jewell, 8 grandchildren, Tim Wickens, Nicole (Steve) Crawford, Dave, Bill and Christy Randel, David Jr. and Emily Jewell, Michelle (T.J.) Coon, 18 great-grandchildren, two sisters, Pat (Christian) Grabow and Joyce (Alex) Stepanski, sister-in-law, Betty Wickens, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Duane and Janet Wickens, sister-in-law, Linda Kaska and several nieces and nephews. Nancy was predeceased by brothers-in-law, Stu Wickens and Bob Kaska.

Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, October23, 2018 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Malecki Funeral Home Inc., 464 Sherrill Rd. , Sherrill, NY. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev.

Michael Usborne officiating. Burial will follow in Valley View Cemetery, Oneida, New York. In memory of Nancy please send donations to Hospice & Palliative Care.
