Nanette Louise Marlow, our beloved mother, grandmother, friend and inspiration passed away Monday afternoon. The sudden loss has been and will continue to be felt by all who knew her. Born in Denver, Colorado on October 19, 1942 to parents Edward and Lena Libonati, Nanette was the youngest of three children.

With Eddie (brother) and Theresa (sister) they were raised Catholics on love and Italian food. At 21, Nanette married Ray Marlow and moved to Boise, Idaho where she gave birth to her two sons – Raymond Donald Marlow and Kenneth Allen Marlow. Later divorced, with amazing diligence and devotion she sacrificed much to raise her sons as a single mom.

She took a job as secretary with First Security Bank and over time was promoted to the position of Administrative Services Manager in Salt Lake City. It was off to another adventure! After retiring early from then Wells Fargo Bank, Nanette moved to Draper where she started attending St. John the Baptist Church.

She eventually took a position as a receptionist there and the church became a second family to her. She organized weddings, sang in the choir and was glad to do anything she could to help out her “second family”. It was with these characters that she developed the skills that led to her becoming an internationally ranked Bunco player!

She also developed a passion for travel with her buddy Terry Moore and the other members of her church. Nanette was preceded in death by her parents (Edward and Lena), brother Eddie Libonati, sister Terri (and Jimmy) LaManna and her two beloved cats of 20 years, Smokey and Frosty. She leaves behind her two sons Don (and Claudia) and Ken (and Becky), grandchildren David, Tabitha, Matt, Lucas and Sarah as well as truly countless friends from across the scope of her rich and wonderful life.

Our family would like to thank everyone for being such kind and caring friends over the years. She was a sweet and special person who will remain forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. A viewing and vigil will he held at St. John’s the Baptist Church from 6-8 pm on Sunday, Sept 16 with a mass and celebration to follow on Monday, Sept 17 at 11 am, also at St. John’s.

Sweet dreams and rest in peace, Mom. You are loved and missed.
