Lynn Allred Zenger, a dedicated husband, father, grandfather and friend passed away peacefully at home in the early morning hours on September 5, 2018 in American Fork, Utah. Lynn was born in Logan, Utah on September 29, 1942 to Ray and Lucile Zenger and is the oldest of three children. He graduated from Highland High School in 1960 then joined the Army Reserves where he shared his love of music by participating in the military band as a trombone player.

In 1961 he served a full time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Santiago, Chile. On August 31, 1964 he married Linda Nelson in the Salt Lake City Temple. Together they have 5 children, 21 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

He graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in accounting and then accepted a job in Denver, Colorado where he and his family lived for 49 years. Lynn had a successful career in real estate and was highly involved in the community in Arvada, Colorado. He was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and dedicated his life to helping others.

He served in many capacities such as Bishop, Family History Consultant, Temple Worker and Young Men’s Leader. He had a great love for music and enjoyed many years of singing in the ward choir. Throughout the many years of living in Denver he was blessed with great friends who have been a tremendous anchor and support in his life.

He was a true believer in the benefits of exercise and was known for his beautifully manicured yard. In the summer of 2017, he and Linda moved back to Utah where he spent the last year of his life making new friends, serving others and enjoying time with family. He was a great example of faith, dedication and hard work to all who knew him.

Lynn is survived by his wife, Linda, and his five children: John, Phil, Mark, Andrea and Tim, as well as his brother, Paul, and sister, Carol. In celebration of Lynn’s life, a Memorial Service will be held in his honor on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 11:00 am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (270 N 900 E, American Fork, UT 84003). Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service.

Interment at American Fork Cemetery following the service.
