NATHANIEL MILTON DAVIS, III November 17, 1982 – January 16, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Nathaniel Milton Davis III, beloved son, brother and friend has gone on to our Lord and Savior. Nathaniel was born on November 17, 1982 in Houston, TX and was called home on January 16, 2019. His life was filled with service to his family, friends, community, and country.

Nathaniel was the youngest child born to Ethel M. Davis and Nathaniel Milton Davis II. He is survived by his mother and six sisters: Nikki, LaShundra, Cheryl, Rejone, Brenda, and Tammy. He has one God Daughter, Isis.

Nathaniel has numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends. He touched the hearts of many. Nathaniel completed his education in Houston, TX and had a long career of service to his country, beginning with Boy Scouts of America.

In Boy Scouts, he started as a young Cub Scout and ended with the highest honor of obtaining Eagle Scout. He was a member of the JROTC and graduated from North Shore Senior High School in 2001. He immediately joined the Army Reserve Unit.

He concurrently attended the University of Houston Downtown and obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2008. Nathaniel was involved in numerous military missions including active service in Afghanistan. During his service he received multiple honors including an Army Commendation Medal and a National Defense Service Medal.

He served his country honorably as a Cargo Specialist and was medically retired after over Twelve years of service. Nathaniel has held several occupations over the years, including producing a TV Show with a local broadcast station. One of his most cherished activities was volunteering at the Warrior and Family Support Center in San Antonio, Texas through the Wounded Warrior Project.

He taught jewelry making courses to soldiers and their family members and if you were fortunate enough, he made something special for you. Besides making jewelry, Nathaniel enjoyed spending time with family and friends, as well as, going to Comic Con in full costume. Nathaniel was a man of few words, yet he spoke volumes through his actions.

He worked hard at everything he tried. He rarely complained even when faced with difficult situations. Most importantly he lived a life in which he strived to do the right thing….

In ALL things. He was guided by the following military prayer: “O God, whatever my task may be, help me to realize that I am making a worth while contribution to the success of our mission. Help me to know that good morale and discipline depend upon my attitude and my sense of responsibility to perform according to Your will in every assignment, however small and insignificant it may seem to me.
