Rodneisha Lashelle Carita Lynn Smith, 31, was born to Regina Carter-McConnell and Rodney Smith, Sr. on June 19, 1987 in Oklahoma City. She was called home May 17, 2019 to be with her Lord and Savior. Neisha graduated from Yukon High School in 2006.

After that she enrolled and attended the University of Science and Arts in Chickasha, Oklahoma from 2006 – 2008. Neisha also volunteered with the Habitat for Humanity Organization in New York City, New York. She volunteered for a number of Humanitarian Agencies and projects.

She was the manager of IHOP Restaurant in OKC for several years. At the time of her passing she was a customer service representative for Blue Cross Blue Shield in Tulsa. Neisha was a loving person with a smile that could brighten any room, and the personality to match.

She loved helping others in time of need and would give her last if she had it. She was always loving and had a heart of gold that was full of love for everyone she met. She loved to dance, sing karaoke, and read.

She was always buying books, and loved listening to country and R&B music. She loved to clown around and tell jokes with that beautiful smile and laughter. Neisha’s greatest joy was her family.

Her nieces and nephews were and meant the world to her and always kept them on a positive track. Neisha was preceded in death by her grandmother, Shirley Smith; grandfather Ernest Carter, Sr.; uncle, Ernest Carter, Jr.; aunt, Tina Carter; great-grandparents, Lee Mack Wallace, Sr. and Lula Mae Wallace and Irene Roberson. Neisha leaves to cherish her life, her mother, Regina Carter-McConnell and step father, Antwon Burton of Tulsa; father, Rodney Smith, Sr. and step-mother, Regina Smith of Deleware; grandmother, Gloria Wallace of Midwest City; foster parents, Rodney and Christine Weidenmaier of Missouri; brothers, Quinton Williams of Arkansas, Marcus Williams-Spicer of OKC, Rodney Smith of Indiana, Mitchell Carter of OKC, Cory Dizer of OKC, Josh Shipp of Missouri; sisters, Gloria Smith of Tulsa, Delicious Hunter of OKC; nieces both of whom were like her children, Monica Smith and Arieona Smith of the home; host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will truly miss Neisha.

A funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 24, 2019 in the Chandler Gymnasium officiated by Reverend Everett Wallace with interment following in the Clearview Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
