Obituary for Nell Ross Nell Corlew Ross, age 86, of Cedar Hill, passed away Saturday, June 16, 2018 at her home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at 2pm in the chapel of the Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield with Brother Eric Drake and Brother Billy Ellis officiating. Burial will follow Springfield Memorial Gardens with Lynn Ross, Brad Walker, Jonathan Drake, Wesley Ross, Austin Ross and Taylor Ross serving as pallbearers.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 from 4-8pm and again on Wednesday from 12pm until the hour of service at 2pm. Mrs. Ross was born to the late Doyle C. and Gladys Elliott Corlew on April 8, 1932 in Clarksville, Tennessee. She was a homemaker and was a member of Heads Free Will Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ross is preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Vernon Ross; infant brother, Ray Ford Vaughn Corlew; and her grandson, Landon Ross. She is survived by sons, William (Carol) Ross and David (Dell) Ross, both of Cedar Hill; daughters, Nelda (Mike) Drake and Jan (Brent) Walker, both of Cedar Hill; grandchildren, Lynn Ross, Angie Lyle, Brad Walker, Eric Drake, Amanda Putman, Jana White, Christa Walker, Jonathan Drake, Wesley Ross and Austin Ross; and 19 great-grandchildren. Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield is in charge of these arrangements.
