Nellie Barrow Conklin, 92, of Kinston, passed away on Saturday, November 17, 2018, at her home. She is preceded in death by her parents James and Inez Barrow; first husband Frank Jr. Harrison, second husband Ervin “Diddy Bo” Conklin; son Randy H. Conklin; sisters Gaynell Taylor and Catheleen Barrow; brothers Joseph Barrow, Willard Barrow, L.D. Barrow and Robert Barrow and brother-in-law Fred Foyles. Survivors include her daughter Treva C. Baker (Terry); son Ricky Harrison (Debby); grandchildren Barnaby Conklin, Lindsey Jones, Sarah Baker, Morgane Taylor all of Kinston, Kelly Brinn of Greenville, Ryan Harrison, Tyler Harrison, Aaron Baker of Florida, Krystle B. Schoonveld of Arizona; great-grandchildren Rinna Conklin, Reece Conklin, William Harrison, Mackenzie Jones, Townsley Brinn, Vaela Brinn, Jhett Brinn, Tateum Schoonveld, Cameron Schoonveld, Adriana Schoonveld and one great-grandson on the way, Wyatt Harrison; sister Dorthy B. Foyles; brother Macon (Monk) Barrow and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 25, 2018, at Wheat Swamp Church with visitation to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be to Sudan Transportation Fund Sudan Shriners, P.O. Box 12829 New Bern, NC 28561 and Wheat Swamp Christian Church, 3732 Wheat Swamp Road, La Grange, NC 28551.
