Nellie’s Obituary New Bern, NC Mrs. Nellie Purifoy Midgett, 80, passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2019. A lifelong resident of Craven County, Nellie loved the Lord, and was a faithful member of Broad Creek Christian Church. She was the daughter of Kenneth and Iredell Speight Purifoy and retired from Moen as a production operator.

Her life was spent helping people and sharing God’s love. A memorial service for Nellie will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Broad Creek Christian Church with Rev. Scott Askew officiating.

She also leaves behind her aunt Ada Lou Purifoy, and cousin Lou Sandra P. Wells, of Wilmington; nephews; James “Dell” Purifoy, and wife Terrie Lynn, of New Bern; Kenneth Allen Purifoy, of New Bern; and Greg Allen P. Bryan, of Kinston; her niece, Donna Purifoy Davis, of Stevensburg, VA; her great nephews, Michael Brandon Bryan, of Jasper; Tyler O’Dell Purifoy, of New Bern; Peyton Warner David, of Stevensburg, VA; her great nieces, Courtney Blair Purifoy, of New Bern; Brittney Nicole Bryan, of Greenville, one great great-nephew, and two great great-nieces.
