Nelly Esther Moran Perez, age 87, Of West New York New Jersey, Entered into eternal rest on Monday, September 3, 2018 at 10:47 am. She passed away peacefully in her sleep at Hudson View Care Facility. Nelly was born in Cienfuegos, Cuba to the late Thomas Moran and Luz Angelica Moran on November 9, 1930.

She got her Master’s Degree in education and taught first grade and kindergarten. Nelly, her husband and daughter came to the US in 1967, here they made their American dream come true by owning a successful grocery store business “El Consuelo”. She was an active high ranking member as “Grand Noble” at Rebeca’s Amor y Verdad Logia in Union City, NJ.

She also worked and received an award working at Paterson Public School #9. Throughout her life she enjoyed spending time with her family, cruising, playing the piano, in addition to being a wonderful cook, wife and mother. Nelly is survived by her husband of 65 years, Diego Perez and her only daughter Jacqueline.

She’s also survived by two siblings. The family wishes to thank the friends that cared for her in her last months. She was a caring, loving, classy lady that no one will ever forget.

There will be a brief ceremony at Flower Hill Mausoleum at 5433 Kennedy Blvd. , West New York, New Jersey, at the family’s mausoleum on Thursday September 6th, 2018 at 2:00 PM.
