The oldest of seven, Nick was born on April 22, 1956 in Philadelphia, to the late Donald R. Lintner and Mary T. Donohue. Nick spent most of his childhood in Brielle, NJ and became passionate about sailing as a young boy.
He attended Tulane University, where he was a member of the sailing team, then graduated from LaSalle University in Philadelphia, PA in 1978. He developed a taste for the many culinary offerings in both New Orleans and Philadelphia and enjoyed putting his own twist on some of his favorite N’Orleans recipes. Nick was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and a long time season ticket holder for the Philadelphia 76’ers.
He was self-employed as a manufacturer’s rep, working out of his home. In November, Nick celebrated 35 years of marriage with Carol (Shepherd). They shared many adventures together before and after welcoming their four beautiful children into the world.
He was very involved in coaching his children’s soccer teams and eventually became President of the Pennridge Soccer Association. He enjoyed aikido, skeet shooting and even hunting on his property in Bedminster. PA.
After Nick and Carol moved to Lake Wylie, SC, he became an active member of All Saints Catholic Church. He was a fourth degree Knight of Columbus, taught faith formation and assisted teaching R.C.I.A. Nick found great comfort in his religion and was very interested in learning more about the mysteries of his faith.
Nick was happiest when surrounded by his family and friends. He enjoyed taking them fishing and tubing on the lake in his boat. He found a new sense of patience and great joy in being a grandfather.
When he was not working or spending time with his family, he loved to read, listen to music, cook and scuba dive. Nick is survived by his loving wife, Carol and his four children, Katie Viddivo (Nick) of Cheverly, MD, Meghan of Hyattsville, MD, Kelly of Charleston, SC and Nicholas of York, SC.
