Nickolaos Skafidas January 14, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Nickolaos Skafidas age 73 died Monday Jan. 14 at CRVNA Hospice House. He was born in Stomio Larisa, Greece on Feb.

15 1945, son of the late Athanasios and Angeliki (Toumpas) Skafidas. He came to the United States when he was 17 years old and was proud to be an american citizen. Nick was owner operator of A &W and Skuffy’s restaurant in Concord for many years.

After his retirement he went to work at Chiefs restaurant in Penacook. He loved playing cards, hunting and fishing, spending time at Old Orchard Beach, spending time with his grandchildren and attending their sports games. Nothing was more important to him than his family, weather it be a large family gathering or just having a meal.

For many years Nick and his wife Jeanne enjoyed spending their winters in Arizona. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his son Christopher Skafidas who died in 2009. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Jeanne (Pickard) Skafidas, two sons; Nicholas Skafidas and his wife Kristen, George Skafidas and his wife Jessica, daughter; Angelina Skafidas, daughter in law; Marie Skafidas, seven grandchildren; Julie, Thomas, Nickolas, Greyson, Sophia, James and Georgia, two brothers; Theodore and Michael Skafidas, and nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday Jan 21 from 3 to 6 PM at the Waters Funeral Home 50 South Main St. Concord, with a Trisagion service taking place at 5. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday Jan 22 at 11AM in the chapel of the Waters Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Blossom Hill Cemetery, Concord.
