OBITUARY Nicolasa Villegas September 16, 1922 – December 2, 2018 Nicolasa Villegas, age 96, of Houston, Texas passed away peacefully on Sunday December 2, 2018. She was born September 16, 1922 in Gayhill, Texas to Miguel and Refugia Reyes. Nicolasa is preceded in death by her loving husband of 25 years, Amado Villegas, five brothers; Augustin Reyes, Jesus Reyes, Casmiro Reyes, Macedonio Reyes, and Epifanio Reyes, four sisters; Pascuala Reyes, Lucinda Reyes-Orozco, Torivia Gongora, and Lucia Martinez, and five children; Lele Villegas, Raymond Villegas, Tony Villegas, Pedro Villegas, and Danny Villegas.

Nicolasa is survived by five children; Domingo Villegas, Amado Villegas, Jr., Dora Galvan Aguirre, Mary Lou Benavides, and Rachel DeLeon. Also left to cherish her precious memory are 16 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Nicolasa loved gardening and had a green thumb for every plant or flower she touched.

She was a very hard working lady who never turned down a chance to do something for her family, whether it was watching grandchildren, neighborhood kids, making tamales for her family, or hand sewing beautiful baby quilts, she was the heart of her family and will be greatly missed by every life she touched with her kindness. A visitation for Nicolasa will be held Tuesday, December 4, 2018 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023. A rosary service will begin at 7:00 pm.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at 2:00 PM with the interment to follow in the Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www. ForestParkLawndaleFH.com for the Villegas family.
