Obituary for Nicole Kersten Nicole Kersten, loving mother, daughter and wife, passed away from cancer March 24, 2018 at home surrounded by her family. For five years she put up a strong fight and never once complained. She attacked it head-on and never gave an inch.

Nicole was born August 15, 1971 in San Francisco, California. In 1978, she moved from Daly City, California to Grants Pass where she grew up, attended schools and was a 1989 graduate of Hidden Valley High School. She then attended Southern Oregon University where she received her Bachelors of Arts degree in Marketing in 1994.

On June 17, 1995 Nicole married Jerry Kersten in Grants Pass. She worked at Southern Oregon Audio Visual and was a career coach for whatever sport was in season. Her hobbies included running, fitness, coaching, and gardening.

Survivors include her husband, Jerry; her daughters, Haley and Hannah; and her father, Siro Bignotti all of Grants Pass; her mother, Stephanie Harriman and sister, Taylor Harriman both of Lafayette, California. A memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, April 15, 2018 at North Valley High School. Remembrances may be made to the Rogue Valley Humane Society at www.
