Obituary for Nora Jo Payne (Rutledge) Mrs. Nora Jo Rutledge Payne, 84, of Corsicana passed away on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at Heritage Oaks West in Corsicana. She was born on November 14, 1933 in Corsicana to Frank and Olga Ruth Davis Rutledge. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

She was a homemaker, and loved taking care of her family. She was a member of the Baptist church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie A. Payne; son, Albert Payne; parents, Frank and Olga Rutledge; brothers, Dudley and Billy Rutledge; and sisters, Mattie White, Frankie Fisher, Claudia Warrington, and Faye Miller.

She is survived by her daughters, Jimmie Jo Shelton of Fort Worth and Sandra Wilcox and husband Andy of Midwest City, OK; sons, Frank Payne and wife Debbie of Kennard, Jay Payne and wife Vickie of Corsicana, Richard Payne and wife Gale of Purdon, and Billy Payne and wife Belinda of Corsicana; daughter-in-law, Wanda Payne of Streetman; Eighteen grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation with the family will be held from 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at Corley Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 P.M. on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at the Corley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev.

Tony Stephens officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Pallbearers will Jason Payne, Ryan Payne, Brandon Payne, Pace Payne, Heath Morgan, and Cody Golden.

Honorary pallbearers are Daniel Payne, Jimmy Payne and Dustin Ross. Memorial contributions may be made to The Salvation Army, 212 E. 1st Avenue, Corsicana, Texas 75110.
