OBITUARY Norma Elaine Simonelli October 27, 1928 – July 26, 2018 Norma Elaine Simonelli, 89, passed away on July 26, 2018 at the Life Care Center of Palm Bay. Born in Irvington, New Jersey, she graduated from Irvington High School. She was an accomplished opera singer at the Paper Mill Playhouse in Millburn, New Jersey.

She was also a medical insurance biller for Dr. Richard Sauitz, DDS. Norma belonged to Joy Lutheran Church in Palm Bay. She will be remembered for her love of gardening, her love for her pets, and her caring personality.

She is survived by her children: Jay Simonelli, Glenn Simonelli (Michele Stone), and Cindy Simonelli (Marty Piatkowski); her grandchildren: Isaac Simonelli, Julius Simonelli, Corina Simonelli, and John Simonelli; and her sister, Lois (John) Gilleece. She is preceded in death by both of her parents and her brother, Rev. Elmer Hausmann.

The funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 29, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Fountainhead Funeral Home with internment directly after at Fountainhead Memorial Park. The visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until the time of the service. The family requests that in lieu of flowers a donation be made in Norma’s name to any local animal shelter.

Elmer Hausmann, Brother Lois Gilleece, Sister Jay Simonelli, Son Glenn Simonelli, Son Michele Stone, Daughter-in-law Cindy Simonelli, Daughter Marty Piatkowski, Son-in-law Mrs. Simonelli also leaves four grandchildren to cherish her memory. DONATIONS For those who wish, in lieu of flowers, Norma’s family wishes donations be made to any local animal shelter in her name.
