Schoss, age 90, of Two Rivers, died Friday evening, December 21, 2018, surrounded by her family, at Meadow View Assisted Living, Two Rivers. Norma was born on February 5, 1928, in Gillett, a daughter of Arthur and Elsie (Bartelt) Spearbraker. She attended school in Gillett, graduating from Gillett High School with the class of 1946.

On December 18, 1948, she married Raymond Schoss at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Gillett. He preceded her in death on July 23, 2003. Norma worked at Flemal’s Footwear for many years.

When the Flemals retired she purchased the Tot to Teen Shop from them and owned the business for 18 years. Following her retirement, she felt the need to be active which led her to work at Faugust Shoe Store and Brandt’s Family Tree in Manitowoc. Norma was a longtime member of Calvary Lutheran Church, but most recently became a member of Grace Congregational U.C.C.

She was a member of the Two Rivers Lioness Club, the American Legion Auxiliary and the V.F.W. Auxiliary. Norma loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and also enjoyed quilting, gardening, cooking and baking, bowling and playing cards. Survivors include her two daughters and sons-in-law: Peggy and Michael Mueller of Manitowoc and Lori and Joey Brandt of Two Rivers; her grandchildren: Nicholas (Rebekah) Mueller of Manitowoc, Tyler (Kourtney) Brandt of Two Rivers and Jenna Brandt of Stevens Point; and her great grandchildren: Jackson and William Mueller and Audrey and Brody Brandt.

She is further survived by a brother: Alan Spearbraker of Two Rivers; two sisters-in-law: Betty Leeds and Ann Schoss, both of Michigan and special lifelong friend: Anna Mae Olson; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by a sister: Rosemarie (Adolph, Jr.) Druckrey; sister-in-law: Shirley Spearbraker; a nephew: Armin Spearbraker; her father-in-law and mother-in-law: Mickey and Mary Marley; two sisters-in-law: Virginia Osborn and Donna Bush; and a brother-in-law: Elmer Schoss. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Friday, December 28, 2018, at Grace Congregational United Church of Christ, 2801 Garfield St. Two Rivers.

Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Kim Henning and Rev. Colie Bettivia with burial in Forest View Cemetery, Two Rivers.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 Noon. Memorials in Norma’s name may be made to the Two Rivers Lioness Club. Online condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.
