There will be a celebration of life for Mrs. Norma Lorraine Smith, 79, of Jefferson, Texas Tuesday December 18, 2018 at Sammy’s Prime Time located at 121 West Austin Street, Jefferson, Texas. Mrs. Smith passed away peacefully on December 11, 2018 in Jefferson, Texas. Norma was born August 4, 1939 in Naples, Florida to Russell Luckey and Winifred Townsend.

Norma married the love of her life, Charles Huey Smith, in 1971 and they loved to travel. In 1994 Mrs. Smith started her own business, The Cloth Barn, which she owned and operated for many years. She enjoyed crafting, making clothes and dolls for many in the Linden and Jefferson area.

Mrs. Smith loved flowers and was an avid gardener and farmer. She also had a passion for baking and was well known for having the best banana pudding. Mrs. Smith was a caring and compassionate mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed.

Norma was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and sister, Linda Sadler. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Amron Dailey & Brian; son, Donavon Perry ; son, Loral Vaughn Kinney & Shirley; daughter, Tammy Smith & Philip Moore; brother, Gerald Michael Luckey; brother, Larry Russell Luckey; brother, Franklin Luckey; 5 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
