Warren – Norman E. Mooney, 83, of Warren died on Sunday, May 27, 2018 at Southbridge Rehabilitation and Health Care Center. He leaves his four sons, James Mooney and John Mooney of Warren, Joseph Mooney and his wife Lisa of East Longmeadow and Jay Mooney and his wife Nicole of West Brookfield; five grandchildren, Nathan, Matthew, Hannah, Sean and Olivia, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by several siblings.

He was born in Greenfield, son of the late James J. and Dorothea (Atkins) Mooney and lived in Brimfield before moving to Warren in 1952. Norman owned and operated N.E. Mooney Masonry & Plastering for 30 before retiring in 1984. He served in the United States Navy and was a Veteran of the Korean War.

He was a member of the Warren Senior Center. Calling hours will be held Tuesday, June 5, 2018 from 6 to 8 PM at the Varnum Funeral Home, Inc., 43 East Main St. in West Brookfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Warren Senior Center, P.O. Box 428, West Warren, MA 01092 or to the Warren Youth Baseball/ Softball, P.O. Box 1387, Warren, MA 01083.
