Theresa S. Zaganiacz, 87 Gilbertville – Theresa S. (Mozdzierz) Zaganiacz, 87, of Gilbertville, better known by many simply as “Baci,” entered eternal life on Sunday, April 29, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She leaves her son, David J. Zaganiacz of New Braintree; her devoted and loving daughter who was also her caregiver, Mary Ann Z. Swistak and her fiance´ Mark Valego of Hardwick; one granddaughter, Blair Swistak-Robidoux and her husband Andrew of Warren; her great-granddaughter, Morgan Lee Stelmokas of Barre, and many nieces and nephews as well as many great-nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Teofil F. Zaganiacz in 1982, and was the last surviving sibling of 10 brothers and sisters.

She was also predeceased by a granddaughter Randi Lee Swistak-Stelmokas in 2005, as well as her son in law Michael J. Swistak in 2010. She was born in Webster, daughter of the late Albert and Antonia (Suss) Mozdzierz, and attended St. Joseph School. She had lived in Gilbertville for over 60 years.

Theresa worked as a stitcher at Ware Shoe Co. for several years, as well as the Silk Screen Print shop before retiring. Her greatest devotions though, were to her family and her deep Catholic faith. The love, strength and support she gave to her family sustained them through many sad times.

Her love and strength will be forever lasting. A special thanks to the staff at Quaboag Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center for the excellent care given to our mother and grandmother – most especially Amanda, Ericka, Laurie, Eddie, Stephanie, Jean, Tara, Danielle, and Shannon, as well as her roomate, Dorothy. A Funeral Mass for Theresa will be held on Friday, May 11, 2018 at 10:00AM in St. Aloysius Church, 64 Church St., in Gilbertville.

A calling hour will be held the same day from 8:30 to 9:30AM in the Charbonneau Funeral Home, 30 Pleasant St., in Ware prior to the mass. Burial will be in St. Aloysius Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Hardwick Police Association, P.O. Box 575, Gilbertville, MA 01031.
