Norman Jr. Miller, 71, of Cedar St., Salisbury, NC, passed away Tuesday, December 4, at his residence. He was born May 31, 1947 in Cabarrus County to the late Herman Miller and the late Dorothy Lee Miller Miller. Norman completed his education in the Cabarrus County Schools and was a 1965 graduate of Logan High School.

He was formerly employed at Cannon Mills and a member of United Missionary Baptist Church Services will be held Wednesday, December 12, at Zion Wesley AME Zion Church in Concord. Visitation will be 1:00 PM –2:00 PM with funeral services at 2:00. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy Ray Freeman, Easter D. Spratt; one brother, Stevenson Lee Miller. Those left to cherish fond memories include his wife, Carol Smith Miller of the home; three daughters, Annette M. Patterson of New London, NC, Myndi Smith of Concord, NC, Quinda Parks (Stan) of N. Wilkesboro, NC; three sons, Norman Miller, Jr., Herman Miller (Abbie), Norman Miller all of Concord, NC; three step-sons, Kenneth Smith of Norfolk, NE, Marlon Garland (Nina), Frank Grigley (Demetia) both of Kannapolis, NC, 30 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; one sister, Rev. Jeannie C. Miller of Concord; special niece, Paula R. Spratt (Mushy) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
