OBITUARY Oather “O.D.” Pugh February 24, 1924 – December 21, 2018 OATHER D. PUGH. February 24, 1924 December 21, 2018 Resident of Houston since 1946. OD went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 21, 2018.

By faith in Jesus’ death and resurrection, he has the gift of God which is eternal life. (Romans 6:23). Preceded in death by parents: Amle and Pansy Pugh; brothers: Wilford Pugh, A.L. Pugh, sisters: Edith Davenport; daughter: Bette Anne Pugh Puffer.

Survived by his loving wife of 73 years : Anna Margaret Pugh. Son: Craig Pugh and wife Barbara, four great grandchildren. Son-in law: Willis Puffer.

Grandchildren: Missy Pugh , Courtney Puffer, Callie Puffer, Jonathon Puffer and wife Katelyn. O.D. graduated from Wink High School in 1943, where he excelled in football. O.D. was a 2nd Lt.

in the Air Force, serving as a navigator. On September 11, 1945, he and Anna Margaret Booth were married at Victorville, California Air Force Base, where he was stationed. O.D. played football for Rice Institute from 1946-1949, including two Sourhwest Conference championships.

He graduated from Rice in 1950. He was employed by Houston Shell and Concrete Company and Gulf Coast Portland Cement Company for 42 years until his retirement as Vice President. O.D. was an avid hunter, fisherman, and tennis player.

In his retirement years he enjoyed working with horses, hunting and fishing. O.D. enjoyed being a husband, father, and grandfather. “The just man walks in his integrity: his children are blessed after him”.

( Proverbs 20:7) O.D> and Ann are members of Pine Valley Bible Church. They have many treasured friends who uphold them in prayer. They celebrated 73 years of marriage.

They praise God for long lives and full lives. They had 2 children Craig and Bette, who enturned brought them their amazing grandchildren to treasure. They love the Lord and his Word.

“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth others is laid for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge shall give me at that day, and not to me only, but also unto all them that love his appearing. (2 Timothy 4:7,).
