Odessa R. Scott of Dawson died peacefully at home on June 6, 2018 after an extended illness. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday June 11th, at Willson Hospice House Chapel, 320 Foundation Lane, Albany, Georgia with Rev. James R. Emery officiating.

Mrs. Scott was a native of Perry, Florida, born January 14, 1922, daughter of M. E. Randall and Rosa Stevens Randall. She has been a resident of Dawson, Georgia for the past 75 years. She worked at Stevens Industry in Dawson in her younger years.

She retired and became a homemaker for the rest of her life. She was a member of Dawson United Methodist Church and Epworth Sunday School Class. She loved spending time with her family, friends and her pets.

She loved working in her yard and planting flowers. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of sixty one years, Gilbert Carol Scott, better known as Scotty. She was also preceded in death by seven brothers.

Survivors include her daughter Beverly Scott of Dawson, and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Caregivers include her daughter, Beverly, Cassie Williams, Patricia Williams, Diane Bentley and the ladies from Willson Hospice House. Memorials may be made to the Willson Hospice House, 320 Foundation Lane, Albany, Georgia 3170l.
