Obituary for Olive Fern Bauer Born in 1919 to Astrid Theo Linda Valentina Uhlin Egan and James Francis Egan in a pump house in Escalon, California. After she was born the family moved to the small town of Ceballos, Cuba. Later they relocated to Havana, Cuba and after that to San Fransisco, California.

She enlisted in the Navy during World War II and served in the United States Naval Reserve as a Lieutenant Junior Grade from September 25, 1943 to July 30, 1946. She was stationed at Pearl Harbor Naval Base where she met Lieutenant Joseph Leo Bauer a Naval Dental Officer and was married at the Makalapa Base Chapel in Pearl Harbor. They settled in Springfield, Missouri and raised a family before moving in 1980 to El Cajon, California.
