Ollie Ruth Schoen, age 84, of Richmond, Indiana and formerly of Bellefontaine, Ohio passed away at 4:42 A.M. Thursday, February 7, 2019 at the Golden Living Center in Richmond. She was born in DeGraff, Ohio November 25, 1934, to the late Cliff and Kathren (Douglas) Ammon. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Carl Kerns Sr.; a granddaughter, Misty Spencer; a grandson, Mikey Wayne Alloway and her sister, Ada May.

Ollie is survived by three daughters, Pam Alloway and Sandra Kerns, both of Bellefontaine, and Carla (Darrin) Whittington of Lynn, Indiana; a son, Carl Lee Kerns II; seven grandchildren, Joy Alloway, Natasha Kerns, Lori Taylor, Charity Kerns, Tamara Alloway, Brandon Davenport, and Nathaniel Wion; twelve great grandchildren, Ashley Taylor, Krista Taylor, Zach Derrosett, Kyle Taylor, James Acosta, Shania Taylor, McKenzie Whiting, Talia Acosta, Amber Stahler, Brianna Acosta, Caden Smith, and Blaine Alloway; eighteen great-great grandchildren, Jacob, Raidyn, Kadryk, Layla, Nathaniel, Roger, Mason, Payton, Kyzer, Remmington, Karter, Brantley, Anna, Waylon, Wyatt, Barrett, Chase, and Liam; two sisters, Joann O’Conner and Carolyn Shields and three brothers, Dale (Lavon) Ammon, Dick Ammon, and Bud Ammon. A graduate of Quincy High School, Ollie had worked as a waitress in West Mansfield, Ohio and was an egg packer for Marlou Farms. She was a member of the Mount Tabor Church of God, a Brownie Troop Leader in West Mansfield, and 4-H Leader in Arcanum.

She most especially lived for her family and friends. The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at the Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in DeGraff, Ohio, where a memorial service will begin at 1:00 P.M. Burial will follow the memorial service at the Greenwood-Union Cemetery in DeGraff. The arrangements are in the care of the staff of the Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in DeGraff.
