Dorothy R. Boysel, age 79, of Bellefontaine, Ohio passed away Wednesday afternoon, January 30, 2019 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. Dorothy was born in Jackson County Ohio May 21, 1939, to the late Lester O. and Edna M. Spires. She married Bobbie L. Boysel September 13, 1958, and he preceded her in death December 14, 2012.

Dorothy was also preceded in death by brothers, Carl D. and Lawrence W. Spires. Dorothy is survived by her children, Anita (Ralph Herbert, Jr.) Ricketts of Bellefontaine, Douglas (Lisa) Boysel of Hebron, Ohio, Barbara (Jeffrey) Klinger of Rushsylvania, Ohio and Robert (Mary) Boysel of St. Louis Missouri; ten grandchildren, Jennifer (Bill) Stanley, Justin (Ali) Boysel, Amanda (Richard “Garcel”) Legge, Ashleigh Klinger, Brandon Boysel, Cory Klinger, Kristina Boysel, Audrey Boysel, Allison Boysel, and Shannon (Devin) Maciel; two step-grandchildren, Lacey Mack and Lukas Harlan; six great-grandchildren, Gavin Stanley, Mason Stanley, Ellianna Boysel, Jayden Legge, Logan Boysel and Landon Boysel; siblings, Everett (Becky) Spires, Shirley (Wayne) Shoff, Norma (Larry) Trador and Helen (William) Nichols; a sister-in-law, Frances Gilbert and numerous nieces, nephews, step grandchildren. Dorothy worked for Dick Kirby State Farm Insurance for many years and most recently worked part-time for H&R Block.

Dorothy enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. In her spare time, she loved creating Swedish weave blankets. Pastor Jeffory Willets will officiate the funeral service Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Bellefontaine.

Visitation will be held prior to the funeral service from 12 noon until 2 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Highland Memorial Cemetery in West Liberty, Ohio. The staff of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Bellefontaine is handling the arrangements.
