Opal B. Bristow, 92, of Port Clinton, died Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at Riverview Health Care Campus, Oak Harbor, OH. She was born August 22, 1925, in Oak Harbor, OH the daughter of Beryl and Lillian (Deininger) Schiller. She married Shelby H. Bristow on June 5, 1949 and he preceded her in death on August 17, 2003.

Opal was a faithful member of Faith United Methodist Church, Port Clinton, OH where she was the organist for over 50 years. During World War II she worked at E.A.D as a trigger guard maker, she then worked as a pickle packer at The J. Weller Co., Oak Harbor. Her favorite job was being a seamstress out of her house.

She made dresses, prom gowns and bridesmaid dresses. She enjoyed decorating ornate eggs and she was legendary for baking pies. Her signature pie was a fresh peach pie.

Surviving are her son Norman (Sally) Bristow of Clinton Township, MI; daughter: Sharon (Tom) Smith or Austin, TX; grandchildren: Kyle Bristow of Clinton Township, MI, Matthew (Nicole Strube) Bristow of Louisville, KY, Cassidy Smith of Austin, TX; great-granddaughter: Catherine Bristow. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother: Myron Schiller. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Friday, July 20, 2018 at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1124 Fulton St. Port Clinton, OH where the family will receive friends from 9:00 am Friday until the time of the service with Rev.

Ted Austin officiating. Interment services will take place Friday at 2:00 pm in Elliston Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions may be made to Faith United Methodist Church, 430 Jackson St. Port Clinton, OH 43452.
