Orville Lampson January 25, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| View Guestbook Entries| Send Sympathy Card Orville Lampson, 94, of Alsen, ND passed away Friday, January 25, 2019, at the Maple Manor Care Center of Langdon, ND. Orville was born March 25, 1924, at Grano, ND, to Grove and Selma (Oberg) Lampson. He grew up in and attended school at Grano and graduated from Lansford High School.

Orville worked as a Soo Line Railroad agent at various places in Minnesota. In 1951, he became the railroad agent at Alsen, ND, and served there until his retirement in 1984. Orville was active in the Alsen area in many community activities.

On October 3, 1954, Orville married Dorothy Harder. She survives him as do his children: Pat Knutson of Starkweather, ND, and Wesley Lampson of Alsen, ND; grandsons Tyler Knutson and Sean (Barb) Knutson; and one great-grandson, Nash. Preceding him in death were his parents and brothers: George, John, and Lloyd.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, January 31, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. at the Swiss Mennonite Church in Alsen, ND. Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 30, 2019, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Brooks Funeral Home in Langdon, ND. Burial will be held in the spring at the Alsen Cemetery.
