Oscar “Bud”‘s Obituary STEELEVILLE – Oscar G. “Bud” Goetz, 77, of Steeleville, passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at his home in Steeleville. Oscar was born in Ava, Illinois, on May 16, 1941, the son of Oscar F. and Frances Young Goetz. He was a retired Electrician in the Steel Mines.

Bud was of a veteran of the US Air Force and was of the Baptist Faith. Oscar is survived by one daughter, Donna Vanefler of East Alton, Illinois; three grandchildren, Sara, Nicolas and Joshua; two great granddaughters; one brother, Lawrence Goetz of Chester; and many nieces and nephews. Oscar was preceded in death by his Parents; two brothers; and two sisters.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, May 13, 2019 at Wilson’s Funeral Home in Ava. Burial will follow at Ava Evergreen Cemetery, Ava, Illinois. Visitation will be at Wilson’s Funeral Home, Ava, where friends may call from 5 pm until 7 pm Sunday and on Monday from 7:30 am until the hour of service.

Memorials may be given to Residential Hospice.
