Oscar E. Kilgus, 86, of Picture Rocks, died Thursday, November 1, 2018 at the Gatehouse, Williamsport. Born May 16, 1932 in Muncy, he was a son of the late Otto F. and Catherine Kilgus. On June 17, 1955 he married the former Chris Kelly, who survives.

Together they celebrated 63 years of marriage. Oscar was a graduate of Muncy High School. He served honorably as a Sergeant with the United States Army during the Korean War.

Oscar retired from Alltel, Muncy, where he worked for many years. He was a member of Picture Rocks United Methodist Church. Oscar enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an avid sportsman.

He was also a skilled handyman. Surviving in addition to his wife are four children, Kim Aunkst and her husband, Brian, of Colorado, Jeffery Kilgus and his wife, Candie, of Picture Rocks, and Gerald Kilgus and his wife, Mary and Gregory Kilgus and his wife, Barb, all of Hughesville; a brother and sister-in-law, Henry and Mary Kilgus, of Oklahoma; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by three sisters; two brothers; and a grandson, Andrew Aunkst.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in the Montoursville Cemetery. If friends so desire memorial contributions may be made to the SPCA, 2805 Reach Rd.
